Most people attention is stretched outwardly towards objects of the world, so the point is to bring the attention back to yourself = the boundless field of awareness in which all appearing and disappeaing. In direct experience you only face yourself, the boundless, empty, silent, alive field of awareness. The empty, eternal looking which is YOU.

The illusion of being separate is produced and sustained by this singularity as much as the waking up to this fact. In seeing this the illusion disappears as if it had never been there.

When I ask myself "Who am I?" what comes up now is a kind of emptiness or "connected to everything self - but a self none the less - it's just a way better and complete me or self than my little personal self/me that I've been for most of my life. I learned to speak in personal terms and use 'I' statements in 12 step sharing groups so it's pretty easy to articulate what I experience and FEEL in any situation. I am pretty sure that there is only one self or "me" but I've rarely felt like a "big" self or OK me, but now, thanks to people like Sailor Bob, John Wheeler, Tony Parsons, Nathan Gill, Nisargadatta, Ramana and a huge array of others, I feel like I am "there" and my little, separate, vulnerable self is no longer around. LOL, but I won't be surprised if I find myself back in it again. Oh well............

I'm glad you have segmented Sailor Bob's lengthy discourses. His pointing is always great....but it takes "time" to watch the longer talks. This way....one's brain can focus on a golden truth and absorb it.......or whatever I am trying to say! Commenting after Sailor Bob is quite useless. But...felt I had to throw it out there!

Needed this today. I guess I really didn't....but the fictional story of "my life" was being believed....Sailor Bob has a way of pointing us to see the "right way"....from the inside. My comment is really useless. "I AM"....

Thank God. Good audio. So many Sailor Bob interviews have terrible audio. He's talking very softly, or too fast, in a strong accent, and the recording itself is faint or noisy. In fact the questioner's voice is often much clearer, as if they have the mike and Bob doesn't. I don't have the best ears, and about one in five interviews are clear. This, thankfully , is one of them ;')

Time is memory and imagination. In present NOW there is no time whatsoever. to summarize I AM is the basis of all time and space for no time and space is ever experienced outside of I AM. the I AM stabilized in present moment is nirguna brahman, which doesn't even know its own being. triguna arises within time and space continuum and is entirely unreal.

you re completely missing the point here. you can't be more wrong. - the past is mind, mind is time. the past is a conceptual premise relying on recollection of events from your memory. the future is imaginary expectation of vents that you expect to happen using your mind. only present exists and is organic basis, where your life really happens. you have been told about moon and billions of years. you don't even know how many years you are alive unless you count years. no time during NOW. I AM
